The story & people behind the Open Acceptance Method
Our story

Another way to live.

What began as one person's search for peace — a way to understand the mind, the heart and the body — grew into a simple practice for coming home to yourself. We call it Open Acceptance.
Today it's shared by a small group of certified coaches who practise it in their own lives, and gently guide others to do the same.

Why we exist

We don't sell information.

We create experiences that help people live what they already know. Not another course to complete, or one more thing to fix about yourself — a practice you can return to, on any ordinary day.
Every product is a practice.
Every experience is an invitation to slow down.
Stop delaying happiness. Remember who you are.

The founder's story

Meet Renier Jooste

What I experienced growing up was a lot of hurt, anger and pain. As a child, I wanted to help people — but as I grew older, my own heart began to close. I became the very person I had once wanted to help. Anger and fear shaped the way I saw the world.
Eventually, my life reached a breaking point. My ex-wife told me our children would turn out exactly like me. She was right. Shortly after, I attended a three-day NLP training that changed everything. For the first time, I realised the problem was not the world around me — it was the way I was seeing it.
Through years of applying what I'd learned, one truth became clear:
Happiness, peace and joy don't come from controlling life. They come from accepting it.
From this lived experience, the Open Acceptance Method was born — a simple but powerful practice that quiets the mind, softens the body and opens the heart. Wherever you are, you'll be guided back to the same truth: love is already within you. Now.
The people who guide it

Trained to embody the method before they teach it.

Renier and co-founder Kathryn Woolf lead a small circle of coaches — each one living the practice first, then walking beside others as they find their own way back.

Practice

It isn't something you learn. It's something you experience.

The best way to understand Open Acceptance is to feel it. Take thirty seconds, pull a card, and see what it stirs.
