The Story Open Acceptance

Stop delaying your happiness

You can understand acceptance and still fight life.

Open Acceptance begins with your Self.

Not with fixing, controlling or changing the people or circumstances around you.

It is a way of returning to what you know—and remembering to listen when life makes it difficult to be open.

You already know what a more loving and aware response would look like.

But when the conversation shifts, the pressure mounts and the old fear takes over—knowing what to do is not always enough.

In the moment—

You react.
You shut down.
You override what you feel and say yes when you mean no.

Fear tells you that something outside you must change before you can feel better inside—and you agree.

That’s where Open Acceptance creates space for another agreement.

Not by controlling or forcing another outcome.

By meeting what is here from Love instead of fear.

What is Open Acceptance?

We are all programmed with fear.

So what if you stopped fighting it?

Acceptance is an agreement with what is.

Open Acceptance is the practice of making another agreement—with Love rather than fear.

It does not ask you to tolerate harm or stop changing what can be changed.

It asks you to create enough space inside you to become curious about your fight—the fear, belief or old pattern trying to protect you—to see it honestly and choose again.

Open Acceptance is simple, but it must be felt in the body and lived to be truly understood.

OAM stands for the Open Acceptance Method: a practical way to bring this experience into everyday life.

It helps you remember and embody the Love already within you—so you can live from it in the moments that matter.

When you can see the pattern clearly, you are no longer trapped inside it.

“So profound and yet so simple.” — Charisse

Why Open Acceptance?

You cannot change what you’re fighting.

Most of us try to force change by resisting the experience we’re in.

We’re quick to judge.

We blame.
React.
Run away.

We fight.
Control.
Suppress.

But this resistance just creates more… resistance.

It keeps the old agreement in place.

Open Acceptance interrupts it.

It allows you to meet the whole experience—not only the parts that feel comfortable or acceptable—with Love.

Because when the fight within stops, even for a moment, awareness becomes possible.

And awareness is where another choice begins.

“Life did not change, but I did.” — Elzette

How Open Acceptance works

Change begins with space.

Open Acceptance does not make the pattern disappear.

It helps you make enough space to recognise the pattern—in your thoughts, emotions and body, and in the way you respond.

The tight chest.
The racing mind.
The urge to defend, fix, withdraw or take control.

When you pause and meet the whole experience with Open Acceptance, your nervous system has a chance to catch up with what you already know.

From that space, awareness makes choice possible.

Accepting responsibility for your choice—returns your power.

You will not get it right every time.
That is not the point.
The practice is returning.
Again and again.

“I knew so much, yet it felt new because I heard it in present time.” — Laurette

The story of Open Acceptance

Open Acceptance did not begin as a theory.
It grew from Renier Jooste’s own life—and has been shaped by more than 25 years of personal practice and over 18 years of coaching and training.
Renier came into the world with his  heart open to Unconditional Love.
From a young age, he observed people’s faces.

Everywhere, he saw closed hearts.

  • Hurt

  • Anger

  • Sadness

  • Suffering

  • Pain

As a young boy, Renier decided he wanted to change people’s faces for a living.

Renier is super sensitive to energy—he sees and feels it.
As a child, he did not understand it. In time, life taught him to believe he wasn’t safe.

It became him against the world.
He made an unconscious agreement with fear, believing he had to fight to protect himself.

Living from this agreement, Renier closed his heart and separated himself from life, other people and himself.

In his early 20s, he was introduced to energy medicine through Reiki and Kinesiology, which helped him understand the energy he was so sensitive to.
Through this work, acceptance began to reveal itself.

But he was still angry.

At 30, Renier discovered NLP through a three-day experience where he felt his heart open again.

He experienced another way.

Renier became obsessed with applying what he’d learned in every area of his life. In time, one pattern kept revealing itself: acceptance

Acceptance did not change life.

It changed his experience of himself—through the consistent practice of unconditional Love and acceptance within.

He made another agreement—with Love instead of fear.

As he opened his heart, Renier began to participate in life again.

What began as Renier’s own practice of acceptance became a method for helping others stop fighting themselves, see their own patterns and be happy now.

Today, OAM helps people change their faces by opening their hearts to life as it is—to the unconditional Love within.

What Open Acceptance looks like in real life

How to practise Open Acceptance

OAM is practised while life is happening—

  • In the breath you take before reacting;
    The compassion you bring as an old pattern plays out;

In your decision to listen within before overriding yourself.

Every OAM product, service and experience offers another way to practise—and remember your Self.

Our vision is to share one million moments of Open Acceptance: ordinary moments in which people pause, notice and remember who they are—so they can choose a more loving way.

“It feels so doable—something that can be part of everyday life.” — Vuyile
