I went from feeling my life was over to feeling that my life has just begun.

It was such a fun, safe and constructive environment — no pressure to share, no feeling of judgment. It provided a sense of community and acceptance, and I could feel the wall I'd set up against the world starting to come down.
I've learned to accept and listen to my feelings, both positive and negative, and to express them. I still struggle at times — the difference now is that I have the tools to respond in much more effective, mature and loving ways.
